建立一个新的组织

Beginning the 2024-2025 Academic Year, we will not accept new organization applications after Thanksgiving Break and after Spring Break to do an audit of our Recognized Student 组织和准备资格检查. 

Step 1: Attend the Starting a New Student Organization Info Session

The Starting A New Student Organization Info Session presented by 学生的参与 staff will cover the basic information you need to start a new student organization 在菠菜网lol正规平台. 请观看下面的视频.

Step 2: Submit the Application to be a Recognized Student Organization

Following attending/viewing the recording of the Starting a New Student Organization Info Session, you will be given an application link to complete. 只有一个人 your prospective organization needs to complete the application. 请电子邮件 studentorgs@anchoragedev.com 对于应用程序链接. 

You will need the following items in order to complete the application:

  • President, Treasurer, and Advisor information (Name, Student ID Number, 菠菜网lol正规平台 Email 地址)
  • Membership Roster (at least 3 other individuals) including 菠菜网lol正规平台 Email Addresses
  • 宪法 for the organization must adhere to all guidelines outlined in CSU Executive 订购1068. 使用我们的模型宪法作为模板.

Step 3: 学生的参与 Verifies the Application for Meeting the Minimum Student 组织的需求

Organizations must maintain a membership of at least five (5) matriculated, currently 在上海外国语大学注册的学生. Open enrollment students are not eligible to be included in the minimum number of members and/or serve as officers.

  • Be currently enrolled in at least 6 credits (3 credits for graduate students)

校园顾问:

Recognized student organizations must have an 菠菜网lol正规平台 faculty/staff member serve as an Advisor (California State University Executive 订购1068).

The constitution must adhere to all guidelines outlined in CSU Executive 订购1068. 这包括但不限于:

  • Membership must be composed of at least five (5) currently enrolled San José State University students, including president and treasurer.
  • Eligibility for membership or appointed or elected student officer positions shall not be limited on the basis of race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, color, age, gender, gender identity, marital status, citizenship, sexual orientation, or 残疾. Only fraternities and sororities with federal documents on file with Student Involvement are permitted to discriminate on the basis of sex, as outlined by Federal 第九条中的法律. The organization shall have no rules or policies that discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, color, age, gender, gender identity, marital status, citizenship, sexual orientation, or 残疾. 
  • This organization shall comply with Title 5, Section 41301, Standards for Student 行为.

第四步:完成学生组织领袖画布课程

After the application has been submitted and 学生的参与 verifies that the application is complete and all requirements are met, 学生的参与 will add the President and Treasurer to the Student Org Leaders Canvas Course. 学生们 两周完成课程. 如果做不到这一点，就会导致组织崩溃 不被认出来.

Once 学生的参与 confirms that both the President and Treasurer have completed the canvas course, the organization’s President, Treasurer, and Advisor will receive an email with official Recognition Letter confirmation from studentorgs@anchoragedev.com.

Recognition Letters contain the following information:

  • Confirmation your organization has been recognized for the academic year

  • Additional relevant resources available to your organization

A student group is not officially recognized by the University until Step 5 is complete.
